KP Speech Pathology | Services

At KP Speech Pathology, we assess, diagnose and treat the following areas including:

- Receptive & expressive language
  (understanding language & expressing thoughts)
- Articulation
  (speech sounds)
- Literacy
  (reading, writing and spelling)
- Myofunctional Disorders (OMDs)
  Dysfunctional patterns of the muscles in the face and mouth, involving improper tongue rest, posture, swallowing or breathing

We initially gather detailed case history information to gain an understanding of your child’s communication needs. We then perform relevant assessments and based on the results recommend possible goals for your child. Each child’s goals and therapy plan are tailored to their individual needs.

KPSP is able to provide services to privately paying families as well as with clients who are self or plan managed through the NDIS.

Families can also speak to their GP as to whether they are eligible for an EPC plan which provides 5 sessions rebated per calendar year through Medicare. Families with private health funds may also be able to access rebates.
