Do I need a referral to access KPSP services?
No you do not need a referral to access private speech pathology services.
How much do the sessions cost?
Prices vary depending on the type of assessment and length of therapy sessions so please contact KPSP for more information.
How long will my child need to see a Speech Pathologist for?
All children are different. They have different areas of difficulty and learn at different paces so we are unable to predict how long each child will require therapy for.
Do I need to attend sessions that occur at school or kindergarten?
No, however you are more than welcome to attend anytime.
If my child is having sessions at school or kinder how will I know what they are working on?
All KPSP clients receive a workbook to keep all their activities in so parents can look through to see what’s happening in therapy. They also have regular contact with the therapist via phone and email.
How do I know if my child needs to see a Speech Pathologist?
Check out our Developmental Norms to see what you child should be doing at each age. If you are concerned your child is not able to do all the items they may need to see a Speech Pathologist. Contact KPSP for more information.
