If so, your child may benefit from seeing a Speech Pathologist.
Speech Pathologists assess, diagnose and treat communication and swallowing disorders. You do not need a referral to access the services of a Speech Pathologist and rebates are available through private health funds and medicare in some instances.
KP Speech Pathology is a team of experienced Speech Pathologists owned and run by Kara Veldhuizen (formerly Postlethwaite).
KP Speech Pathology is unique in that it is not run from a clinic setting. Therapists travel to clients and provide services in their preferred setting whether it be at home, kindergarten, school, early learning center or grandma’s house. This ensures that the child is comfortable and can spend less time having to adapt to a new environment and can focus on achieving their goals faster.
KPSP also offer kindergarten screening programs throughout the year and intensive literacy programs during the school holidays.
If you are unsure if you need a Speech Pathologist, Kara is always happy to chat to you about your child and current situation. She is very passionate about her job and always ready to guide you and your child down the path that’s right for you.
